I love the pink flowers! Way to rock the film.
Your wedding looks like is was so beautiful. Congrats!!!! Good work Laura. You are awesome!
Love the pictures! Trisha your dress was just perfect for a beach wedding. I really like the close up of you, beautiful.
Laura – I just noticed these! We also got our stuff in the mail…looks so pretty! I can’t wait to dive into that this weekend!!!
[...] (Yes, their wedding was back in February and I am quite late with this post.) I blogged some of the film from their Just Married session, but I neglected to publish “part II.” So, here it is. [...]
My beautiful friend, Stacy, modeled for me while we attended a photography workshop in Tuscany, Italy. Stacy was recently married in Guatemala and thought it would be fun to use her dress again in while in Italy. She hauled the dress all the way over from Indiana! We woke up at the crack of dawn (or at least we tried) on our last morning (after a dangerously late night the previous night), just to capture a few images. You can’t tell from the photos, but it was seriously freezing the morning of the shoot! I was bundled up in every piece of clothing I could possibly layer on, but Stacy handled it like a pro!
Thanks my wonderful friend!

LOVE the one of her holding our her veil! And, of course I love anything you do with doors.
What a fun and beautiful session!! Love that you guys made the effort to get up early and take on the cold for beautiful photos.
WOW! So worth getting up early!
I’m a friend of Stacy’s and these are absolutely gorgeous! She’s so beautiful, isn’t she? The red hair is amazing!
You guys were so brave to get up that early! Such beautiful light, beautiful location and beautiful bride! Great job Laura! Awesome styling Stacy!
That door is killer! The lighting was beautiful, take me next time, okay?
LOVE it! So I want to print a huge one of the veil in that morning italy haze… so awesome to have SUCH good photographer friend!
Sarah + Ben braved a cold October morning for their day-after session. Because they had a traditional Catholic wedding and didn’t see each other until the ceremony, we didn’t have much time to capture portraits before the sun set on their wedding day. So, we met on Sunday morning to capture additional portraits of S+B. Day after sessions are always so fun because we can utilize locations that may be inaccessible on the wedding day and we can shoot without time constraints.
Aren’t S+B such a cute couple? I love Sarah’s elegant sense of style!

Brick wall with red door frames for the win. Those are some of my favourite photographs from you I can remember, but the problem is – I probably say that every single night you post something new. But honestly, Laura – entirely stunning.
Beautiful photos! First time I’ve ever seen a bride in gloves and liked it. HOT!
What a great idea! I love the photo of Sarah looking back over her shoulder! Love the composition, love the short depth of field, love her eyes. <3
These are gorgeous Laura!
I am so excited to post Amanda + Jared’s Day After session! Although these sessions are referred to as “Day After,” A+J were married last October. Actually, these sessions rarely occur the day after the wedding and are a great way to get additional images of you and your new spouse in your wedding attire! These sessions are great because there are no time or location restraints like there are on the wedding day. Also, if you’re getting married in a particular season (winter, for example) and desire some greenery or fall colors, this is the perfect solution.
I worked very closely with Amanda styling this shoot and I think it turned out perfectly! Amanda wanted something a little different from her wedding day, so she opted for hair down and loose and a bit more dramatic makeup. In leiu of renting a tux, Jared went a little more casual. The accessories, colors, bouquet and shoes were no accident- we meticously coordinated every detail. We also chose a rustic setting for the session which was so fun. All of these elements, combined with a beautiful, fun couple made for a really awesome shoot.
But it wasn’t just the three of us involved! A special thanks to Floral Culture designer: Kate Olmschenk. Kate has done florals for several of my brides, including Laura & Heather and she always does a stunning job. I sent Kate a couple inspiration photos and she ran with it. I’m so happy I gave Kate the reigns because the final product was even better than I envisioned. It just goes to show if you trust your wedding professionals to do their job and give them a bit of creative freedom, they can really perform to the best of their abilities! If you’re in need of flowers for your wedding, event or session, Kate can be contacted at kate@floral-culture.com.
Also, a big thank you to Hana of Unveiled.Events. She did an extroidinary job with the hair and makeup, as always! I’ve worked with Hana on many, many occasions and I highly recommend her work. In fact, she was the first person I turned to when I needed a makeup artist for a shoot with my hubby!
Thanks to my friend Natalie for shooting along side of me and bringing her medium format camera! I can’t wait to see the results.
And, of course, a huge ginorous thank you to A+J for hanging out with me all night, trekking out to rural Le Center and just being fabulous! I hope you enjoy the images!

Hey Laura – these shots are GREAT! Grandma told me about you coming out there to do the shots, so I was anxious to see them! I’ll keep you in mind for Megan’s wedding someday – keep up the great work!

Thanks everyone for your kind words! Tina- yes! This was at Grandma and Grandpa’s! It’s such a great location. Of course, Grandma made us tried to feed us, made us bars and sent me home with a grocery bag full of garden vegetables. haha!
Deliciously pure & wonderfully organic, Laura. These blow me away, they’re all stunning – absolutely! Ahh, I can’t even say which ones I love best because it’s seriously all of them! Love her hair too!
