I’m with Sean – LOVE her style. And I TOTALLY have that sweater from Anthro. I’m a sucker for a shoe shot so, fittingly, I love this!
Uh! I love the pics – and her boots!!!
Gorgeous! I love the colours!
Love her style, her hair is gorgeous. Beautiful colours, Laura.

I agree with david – the last one has an amazing quality to it.
Laura, these are incredible… just amazing photography. Each of them… so elegant, so sophisticated and yet they still have so much personality. Would’ve loved to see more with that bicycle!
Great pics. Love the color tone and clarity on the last one.
When I was in Vegas for WPPI, I was dying to do a shoot out there. I love the desert landscape and a change of scenery can be so refreshing sometimes. (Especially after a long Minnesota winter!)
So, I was super lucky to connect with Elly! Not only is she an exoctic beauty, but she is so smart, down to earth and fun to hang around! We chatted it up the whole way out to Red Rock and I was so fasiscnated by her. Elly and I share an interest of foreign cultures, language and travel and Elly has studied many languages throughout her education. Very cool girl. I seriously need to jet back to Vegas so we can shoot again. FYI- this shoot was totally improptu. We didn’t really plan hair, makeup or styling, but I think Elly totally rocked it out![]()

GREAT WORK! I just love the last one in the tree…such cool lines! I would have never thought of that! Very cool!
Wow Laura she is a beauty and these are some wonderful shots! I spent many weekends out there at Red Rock growing up with dirtbikes and dune buggies Ü great place!
A small preview from a shoot tonight with the beautiful, Heather. Fab makeup and hair by the oh-so-talented, Ali Beuning.

A ton of awesome stuff coming next week including 2 GORGEOUS weddings and the pics from my Vegas shoot that I have been promising for weeks now!![]()

These are fabulous! It looks breezy – I bet you remembered your sandbags.
Thanks for your comments guys! I have a 580exII on camera, powered to approximately 1/128th. Then I have a 430ex mounted on a light stand, shooting through an umbrella powered to 1/32nd. That light is off at an angle to the model- approx. 45 degrees. These were shot when it was completely dark (~8:00pm) so I have my ISO around 1250 and shutter speed slow (1/60) to let in lots of ambient light and get a glow in the background
Laura, I love these. Same question as Jessica, was this a video light?
These are great Laura! Did you use your video light on her?
[...] Here are a few more shot from my shot with Heather + Ali! [...]
