VILMARIE & CHRIS | MINNEAPOLIS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Here is a little (okay, BIG) preview from Vil & Chris’ beautiful wedding day. The whole day was planned to perfection and expertly coordinated by Kirsten of Fab.you.lous Events. I had such a great time working with the couple and their families! I loved the vibrant colors and beautiful ceremony and reception sites!

Here’s what Vil had to say after viewing the photos for the first time:
“Ahhhhh!!!!!!! Yay! I just spent like, forever looking at all of them. Thank you soooo much! Seriously…there are no words. I laughed, I cried…all over again! Mind you, I’m sitting in a computer lab at school all by myself. If anyone were to walk in, they’d think I was a weirdo haha. Thank you so very very much for capturing our day so marvelously. There just are no words to express how much I appreciate it and you!”

KAYLA & DAVID | MARSHALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

A little peek into Kayla & David’s wedding day… we went to Kayla’s family ranch in Lynd, MN to sneak in a portrait session with the couple’s beautiful horses. I loved the beautiful country setting and I LOVE horses! It was so fun to incorporate something so significant to the couple!

ANNE & NOAH | SAINT PAUL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Please excuse the extra long post, but I am so in love with Anne & Noah’s gorgeous downtown Saint Paul wedding. Not only are Anne & Noah amazing, hospitable, kind, fabulous people, but they also host a great party. I was so honored to be a part of their wedding day. I also have to give a special thanks to the team at Laura Mullen Event Design, who did an amazing job planning and executing this wedding day and, endless thanks and gratitude to my friend, Melissa Schollaert, who second shot this wedding with me. Many of the shots above were captured my Melissa and she is talented beyond words. I met Melissa at Jose Villa’s Italy Workshop, which we attended together last fall in Tuscany, Italy, and Melissa flew in from Atlanta for the weekend to shoot with me. I’ll also be shooting with her in Florida this fall and I’m so excited!

I LOVE NY!

I recently traveled to New York City to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Being the lady that I am, I won’t mention her age, but it rhymes with “dirty.” Anyway, since it was going to be a girls trip and I wouldn’t have my hubby around to carry my gear like I often do when I travel, AND inspired by fellow photographer/friend Jose, who made me travel to Florence, Italy with only one camera, I decided to live on the edge and only bring my medium format Contax 645.

I quite like the results. I’ve recently decided that New York replaces Barcelona as my favorite city in the whole entire world. I really do love NYC and I’m already plotting and planning how I can go back as soon as possible. If anyone who lives in NYC is reading this, by chance, please contact me because I have a few plans in the works and I’d love to chat.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the film results. The heat must’ve gotten to me, because a lot of my film was out of focus (perhaps I shouldn’t manual focus while wearing sunglasses), but I don’t even care… sometimes I like the look of soft film. Enjoy!
